Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-4

Black 1, W.Nr. 13088 from 7./JG 54, Flown by Oberleutnant Max-Helmut Ostermann, Siverskaya/USSR, 10 May 1942

This day after beeing shot down by a I-16 fighter Oblt. Ostermann crashlanded his creat which sustaind severe damaged. Note that by this time he had recorded a total of 97 abshusse, the last one claimed three days earlier, on 7 May.

Note also that this is one of very few profiles subjects that had been documented from both sides, and is showing an aircraft with one side in winther camouflage and the another in typical JG 54 green colors. In fact the crew have removed the winter camouflage on the right hand side but for unknown reasons left the winther camouflage intact on the left hand side and on the wings in temporary white.

One of this proile would be included in my fortcoming profile book No 12.

Please note that if you enojoy my work, please do not just habitually copy this low resolution profile,

instead Im asking all of my visitors to please buy my work (books) printed in the highest quality,

thereby you will support my small business and secure me publishing more profiles in my books, like the two Bf 109 F-4s.
