White 4, W.Nr. 13561, from 1./JG 53, Flown by Leutnant Werner Schöw, Bereska/USSR, 11 August 1942

This day the 15 kills ace Lt. Werner Schöwn was during the Battle for Stalingrad force to belly land behind enemy lines. After his Bf 109s was hit in a radiator during a dogfight with VVS fighters, trailing first brown then white smoke he attempt to reach own lines in the west, however his Rotte was attacked once again by Soviet fighters finally forcing him to belly land his machine, thereafter Lt. Werner Schöw subsequently disappeared an has been listed as MIA since then.

Note that this white 4 is a newly made profile, made during this week. It would problebly be included in a forthcoming profile book, No 11 or No 12, who knows.
