On
this day Fw Otto Büssow was shot down and killed in this
machine during a dogfight near Bieliz. The Bf 109 was in fact
his friends ObFw. Horst Petzschlers personal crate.
This
Bf 109 G-6/AS was former a G-6 which was rebuilt as a AS machine
at Erla-Antwerpen, one of 118 machiens of this type to be produced
there.
